OPEN POSITION: Superintendent

 

US General Construction is actively looking to hire a traveling superintendent who has experience in ground up commercial construction.

 

Superintendents are the backbone of our jobsites and company.

 

Responsibilities include:

• Coordinating with all subcontractors 

• Creating a schedule and keeping the project on schedule throughout the course of the job

• Reporting to the project manager

• Keeping a safe and clean job site

• reading blueprints to make sure everything is in line with architectural plans

• Maintain relations with the building officials and inspectors

• Scheduling inspections 

• Turning job over on time and able to complete the punch list 

 

Requirements for the positions:

• Willing to travel

• Experience with excel, word, and other programs on a laptop

• Experience with commercial construction as a superintendent 

• Attention to detail

• Positive attitude and good communication skills

• Ability to read blueprints 

• Highly motivated 

• Experience in scheduling and ordering material 

• Good organizational skills
